CANERAISING  |  Volume 6   | March 16, 2006

Howdy Cane Raisers!

It's been a while! We've been busy in the studio and hope to have our new CD ready to go by the end of the month. There's a lot to fill you in on, so read on and we hope to see you out and about very soon.

RIDE THE RAIN should hit shelves by the end of March!

With twelve original songs produced by Grammy-winner Sally Van Meter, our second CD is about working hard, playing hard, leaving home, returning home, drinkin' moonshine, and living in the great Southwest. Working with Sally at Notably Fine Audio in Denver was a thrill and we are really excited about the results. The CDs should be shipping soon and will be on sale on our website for $15. For advance orders, please contact us at info@raisingcanebluegrass.com.

Raising Cane returns to Santa Fe's Second Street Brewery on Friday, March 31!

It feels like it's been forever, but we'll be back at our favorite hangout in the City Different at the end of March. If you're in the area, please join us for a night of stompin' bluegrass, tasty beer, and good eats.

RC kicks off the 12th Annual Durango Bluegrass Meltdown, April 7-9!

We'll play a free two-hour set at the Railroad Museum on Friday night to start the weekend and would love to see you there. We'll also be playing several times Saturday and Sunday and can't wait to share the stage with national acts Open Road, the Foghorn String Band, Steep Canyon Rangers, and Chatham County Line. This year's Metldown also features Colorado bands Black Dog Crossing, Palmer Divide, Jake Schepps and Expedition, and 2005 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Contest winners, the Badly Bent, among others. Springss just around the corner, so dance away the ice and snow with some incredible bluegrass at the Durango Bluegrass Meltdown.

Mark your calendars for May 6 - Our CD release concert is coming up!!

We've rented the Lobo Theater and we're planning a night of new music from our second CD, as well as some old favorites.
